It has electrolytes!
Yes, you really can buy it now. Brawndo. The line between irony and reality grows ever finer.

Coincidentally, I wrote about this over the weekend, if any of your readers are curious about the backstory: here.
Keep up the good work.

The fictional Powerthirst ads (on which this ad was clearly based) were funnier.
Mike Judge's movies previously launched the very successful red Swingline stapler (and people lined up around the block at the dozen 7/11s rebranded as Kwik-E-Marts and authorized to sell Krusty-Os) so this guy could be on to something.

I've seen Brawndo at ThinkGeek for some time now... still haven't ordered a case, however. The fact that the beverage itself is being made by Redux, though, gives me some hope for it (their controversial energy drink "Cocaine", FDA quibbles aside, is a pretty powerful shock to the system).
Might be interesting to try.

I don't know how this shows up in anyone else's browser, but I first read that line as The line between irony and reality grows.
I was all set to correct Alex for being either careless or clueless. Then I noticed those two little words way down at the bottom: ever finer. Oops.
And that makes for a horse of a different color.

As amusing as movie-products-brought-to-life are, that video pales in comparison to the originals (as mentioned by Ted):

Powerthirst II: http://youtube.com/watch?v=t-3qncy5Qfk
I predict that many more things from Idiocracy will come to life (but not in a tongue-in-cheek way like Brawndo)- tv with a border of ads, touch fastfood ordering, global starvation etc...

Watching "Idiocracy" at Universal Citywalk and then stepping out of the theatre into the crowd was like the last scene of "Planet of the Apes."

Idiocracy is one of the worst movies I have ever seen; however, I think it may also unfortunately be a little too accurate if shows like Big Brother stay around for too much longer...

Is it redundant to spoof a spoof?
With Bwando, you'll get ADULT ONSET DIABETES, none of that pussy JUVENILE ONSET, this is for A-DULTS!.
Bwando, because anybody can drink tea, but it takes a REAL MAN to stare down retinal detachment. You'll GO BLIND just like you're mother told you if you did YOU KNOW WHAT (no, not THAT, but drinking high sugar energy drinks).
No, that's not the BLINDING ENERGY of Bwando, but your heart PALPITATING due to the high quantities of caffeine and guarana. If the sense that your heart is going to leap out of your chest suddenly ends and you notice any darkening in your field of vision GO BEAT UP A NURSE in an emergency room asap, because you're dying LIKE A MAN.

I was at ROFLcon in April, and all attendees were given a can of Brawndo. It was surprisingly decent.
It is made by a company called OCP, the name itself taken from the corporation in Robocop. They specialize in producing products such as this. Their previous sports drink is called Cocaine.
