I wonder about the theology in all books

Including Stephen Dubner's new The Boy With Two Belly Buttons, which I just ordered.

Here is a discussion of whether Adam had a belly button.

They forgot to say whether Adam's belly button, if he had one, was an insie or an outsie.

Actually, the belly button one is minor compared with the uncensored question. Since it goes unmentioned in either of the two different versions of creation in the "bible" (of course there are two different orders of creation listed in the bible, the first chapter, in which man and woman were created at the same time, and the second chapter when woman was not created during creation at all, but only after Adam showed signs of loneliness).

Did "god" create Adam with functional genitalia, or did he install it when he removed the rib? If he did create him functionally the first time? Why?
