Student Blog Contest
America's Future Foundation is pleased to announce a nationwide contest for the best conservative or libertarian college blogger. The purpose of the contest is to encourage original liberty-minded blogger journalism on college campuses and to identify young conservative and libertarian talent who wish to pursue careers as journalists and writers.
The contest is open to all graduate and undergraduate bloggers age 25 and younger. The winning blog will be awarded a cash prize of $10,000, and be invited to be a panelist at an AFF Roundtable on higher education in Washington, D.C. Awards will be announced on April 7, 2008.

Haven't had a chance to read this article at "Inside Higher Ed" yet, but it seems related to this, and a few recent threads:

Umm ... conservatives are libertarian? When did this happen?
Posted by: RTS at Sep 19, 2007 11:08:52 AM
I think the use of the term "conservative" is meant to attract pro-capitalist, pro-limited-government types. Many members of the Republican party are only there because of those platforms (the platforms the party at least CLAIMS to be in favor of), and disagree with the Christian Right, anti-rights part of it. These are would-be Libertarians if Libertarians had a chance in hell of winning elections outside of a handful of local governments. I think the contest isn't going to change the campus culture in this country, but it's nice when students who don't fall in line with the down-with-the-man, capitalism-is-evil mentality of much of academia are encouraged to speak up.

I thought about entering, but it asked about what impact your blog has had on campus and how long you've been blogging and I figured I'd be at a serious disadvantage. I also wasn't sure if I wore my ideological badge prominently enough, but you guys can judge that for yourselves.
