Ice cream markets in everything

Here is a list of 100 unusual flavors, all for sale; my "favorite" is raw horseflesh ice cream.

Where I'm from, we do have sweet potato smoothies. And I'll tell you one thing - they're goooooood.

My locaal gelatto store makes a variety of interesting flavors - including basil and, currently, tahini. They are generally much better than you'd expect. I've had curry flavored ice-cream in the US. Again, it was good, although the flavor was quite dry and it worked best in small portions.

I've had sweet potato ice cream, but not the brand listed there. It was quite good. I'd have it again. I also enjoyed the black sesame seed (?) ice cream. Although I have eaten and enjoyed raw horseflesh, I do draw the line at putting it in icecream. With meat chunks.

The Fat Duck in the UK has 3 michelin stars and is famous for doing savoury ice-creams like bacon and eggs.

Our local gelataria is famous for always having one herb gelato (rosemary=good, basil=not so good) and or flower gelato (rose, orange blossom, peony, chrysanthemum, all good) on the menu.

Horsemeat ice cream has precedents in the Inuit diet, where barely frozen crunchy-yet-tender meat is considered a gourmet experience. Gastronomica had an article touching on this subject recently, in which they drew comparisons between traditional Inuit cuisine and modern haute cuisine. If the Inuit had horses, I'm sure they'd be eating it that way!

Every year on April 1 a local burger joint that's good has a new flavor of ice cream. Some have included, garlic, Haddock, etc.

I've tried

1. rose ice cream--except for feeling I should've been at a funeral (the smell of roses is very strong), a delicious experience
2. sweet potato ice cream--odd but very enjoyable!
3. corn ice cream--a staple flavor in the Philippines, will never be a top five flavor but yummy nonetheless
4. cheese ice cream--not riccotta--again a company back home makes this and it's not at all disgusting
5. "ube"--made from a purple yam--mmmm.
6. green tea--Haagen Dasz had a variant, and I really enjoyed it

Plus--I don't know that a persimmon ice cream would be so horrible, but I think that if it were a sorbet it would work much better. (Using persimmon flesh & juice, not dried persimmons.)
