I'm pretty sure that DeLong links to Waldman on a fairly regular basis. That blog had some *really* wonky discussions of liquidity in January... very interesting, but don't get to deeply into it! At one point I printed out an entire comment thread, and it was something like eighty pages in small font.

To more properly look at a stay at home mom's salary what should we be looking at?
My girlfriend argued that we should look at the opportunity cost- the money forgone by being at home with a child on their hip.
What does everyone else think.
