Folks, I can buy a pair of panties at Wal-Mart for 88 cents. Please stop and reflect on how much of a miracle that is. I stood there under all those fluorescent lights having an “I, Pencil” moment and I almost wept when i saw that.

And this subject is under the rubric of "religion," exactly why? Connected with Mormonism's underwear-observant theological issues, somehow?
I was just reflecting on this. I, female, can buy panties at Wal-Mart for 88 cents. At Nordstrom, I can buy the Oprah-recommended Wacoal brand at $25 (don't knock it til you try them, either!). And I can buy nearly the same Wacoal at Stein Mart for $9.99. The miracle gets sweeter, the more I contemplate it!

And here's the logical conclusion: I've gotten into the habit of throwing away socks, underwear and t-shirts when travelling and just buying new ones. Why would you pay $5 to the hotel laundry to wash your socks (and fill out the form, and remember to submit it by 9am, and chase it up when it doesn't come back in time) when you can weander across the road to Wal Mart and buy three pairs for $1.50?

Why is it a miracle that markets work, especially when they are strongly supported by two governments massively influencing the outcome through government debt and manipulating the exchange rate to subsidize Chinese exports?
According to the dictionary miracle means:
1 : an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs
2 : an extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing, or accomplishment
Is this what you mean?
