*The Economist* is blogging

Find it here, starring Megan McArdle.  This promises to be a major economics and current events blog.

Sadly the blog posters seem to have the "pseudonym" of anonymity, but I bet you all know Megan's style by now and can guess which are her entries.  I don't know who the other bloggers are, but I believe they are Economist staff.  This is also a good controlled experiment for how quickly smart people can learn the skill of blogging.

Stay tuned...

Addendum: Jane Galt explains more, and do tell them in our comments what you think of the new blog...

Second addendum: If you are looking for controversy, try their new Lancet post...

The new Economist blogger says that to sit down with a plate of fish and chips... I should have an end use license (or was it a title certificate)... the tragedy of the commons, you know...

Meanwhile my anarchist economist friends are aflutter abut IP and insist that anyone should be able to publish a book or manufacture a pharmaceutical of their choosing. What a world, and all among the radical free-market economist types !

I think the suggestion was more along the lines of limiting how much supermarkets can buy, not making people present their ration books to get a pound of hallibut.

Just sayin' . . .

Still sends the mind reeling, don't it?

And with the state of ocean fisheries, they may just be right, too!

Don't you mean art of blogging? Or craft?

Anonymity is the refuge of arrogance.
